Emscher art trail
The Emscherkunstweg includes 20 works of art in public space by artists or collectives such as atelier le balto, Julius von Bismarck with Marta Dyachenko, Rita McBride, Tadashi Kawamata, Tobias Rehberger or Silke Wagner.
The Emscher Art Trail is 101 kilometers long in total. However, it is worth walking just a few sections. The “Walkway and Tower” is located near the Emscher Nature and Water Adventure Park in Recklinghausen Suderwich.
“Reemrenreh (Kaum Gesang)” can be seen in the middle of the Rhine-Herne Canal near Castrop-Rauxel.
And near the city harbor on the Herne side you can find “Glückauf. Miners’ protests in the Ruhr area.”
