Old Town Market
It is the heart of Recklinghausen. Numerous events take place here, such as the "Market Square Jumping" - an international pole vault competition, the spring and wine festival or the Christmas market. The northern part of the market ended at the beginning of the 19th century at the Albers house, which the Albers family bought in 1766 and converted into an inn. The original half-timbered house received the striking stepped gable in 1880.
