REh Recklinghausen tour

This almost 40km long tour is perfect for both Recklinghausen visitors and experienced Recklinghauseners.
We have put together this beautiful and varied tour so that all 15 Recklinghausen deer are visited.
Did you know there is a REh competition?!
A QR code can be found on all REh foundations, which can be used in two ways: firstly, the web-based app* tells you interesting facts about the history of the respective REh location and gives tips on the nearest restaurants and shopping options.
On the other hand, you can register in the app and “collect” REhe using the QR code.
Anyone who collects all 15 deer will automatically be entered into the grand prize draw. The next draw will take place in September 2026. Prizes include: an overnight stay for two people at the PLAZA INN Hotel plus a city tour, a wine tasting at the Molitor wine shop in Recklinghausen for eight people, or an entertaining afternoon for you and your friends (10 people) at the training mine.
There's also the chance to collect a small prize at the Tourist Information Center by collecting five deer. But beware, anyone who wants to participate in the big prize draw will have to start all over again.

Note about the route: The Emscher River is closed shortly before the city harbor. Some sections can be shortened, but we prefer the routes shown because they offer more highlights and are a more relaxing ride. 😉
