Boente's mining tour - on the trail of hard coal
every last Wednesday of the month (April – September)
On this bus tour you will find out about interesting and curious, moving and exciting, historical and current stories about coal mining, the world underground, the culture and Recklinghausen on a real journey through time.
The tour begins in the Suberg's brewery near Boente. After handing out the Bütterkes and Püllekes for the road, this trip takes you through Recklinghausen with several stops: to the shafts of all the former mines such as General Blumenthal, König Ludwig and “Klärchen”, into the machine house with the last steam conveyor machine built in the Ruhr area , high up on the Hoheward dump with a panoramic view of the entire region.
Experience a “mine trip” in an original training tunnel in the training mine!
Finally, a typical Ruhr area snack and home-brewed beer await you in the Suberg's brewery near Boente
