Recklinghausen Urban Hike on October 10, 2026

The urban hike in Recklinghausen is entering its second round, once again inviting participants to discover the city on foot. Instead of traditional hiking trails, the route leads through diverse areas of the city, combining exercise with new perspectives on Recklinghausen.

Participants can choose between two routes: 12 kilometers or 25 kilometers. This depends on their fitness level, how long they want to be out, and whether they are hiking alone, with friends, or with family. The Recklinghausen Urban Hike offers a suitable distance for everyone. At the same time, it provides an opportunity to experience the city in a way that many haven't before.

The hike will start in waves from 9:00 am at a centrally located hike base in Recklinghausen. From there, the route leads through different parts of the city and demonstrates how diverse urban hiking can be.

Along the way, participants discover cultural, sporting, and natural sites that bring Recklinghausen to life step by step. It's not about speed, but about movement, encounters, and shared experiences with the Urban Series community. The Recklinghausen Urban Hike offers 12 or 25 kilometers of activity, exchange, and urban exploration.
