Boente's historical gastronomy city tour
every 2nd Wednesday of the month
The culinary tour through the old town is a journey of discovery on the trail of Recklinghausen's breweries, pubs, taverns, hotels, restaurants and cafés.
Find out where the “Vestische Hof” restaurant, which was built around 1800, stood and what of the buildings is still preserved. Find out what the “Muschelhaus”, “Golden Bucket”, “Schlegel Brewery” or “Sleeping Beauty” were and get to know old Recklinghausen. At the five former city gates you will be provided with small, liquid Boente specialties.
You will then be introduced to the traditional art of brewing beer in Boente's brewery cellar, before the tour ends comfortably with a brew plate and homemade beer.
